About Harold

Harold Heuszel was born in Houston, Texas in 1957.  He attended Houston area public schools, graduating from James Madison Senior High School in 1976 in the top 10% of his class. Throughout high school he participated in numerous clubs and programs including the Mathematics, German and Chess Clubs as well as the Future Farmers of America (FFA). Showing strong leadership skills early on, Harold was treasurer of the Chess Club and president of the Madison High School FFA. This opportunity led to numerous awards of achievement at both state and local levels.

Upon graduation he attended Texas A&M University majoring in Bio-Engineering.  Dentistry became his calling and led him to apply to the University of Texas Dental Program. In 1983 he graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree having received many accolades in regard to his studies and achievement.

He began working as an associate for a private dental practice while building his own independent practice with the knowledge and experience gained. Continuing education is the key to success in any profession today and Harold was keenly aware of the importance of perfecting his practice early. In 1989 he attended the United Dental Institute of Orthodontics receiving a certificate in Orthodontics.  He later attended the University of Texas Dental Implant residency program in 1995 to further refine his craft. His dedication led him to receive an Advance Fellowship degree from the Academy of General Dentistry. In 1993, he opened a second general practice dentistry office located Downtown in Houston, Texas.

Harold has been married to his wonderful wife, Rena’, for nearly 30 years. She has continuously been by his side and supported him throughout life’s challenges and achievements. Together they have raised two outstanding sons.

While his devotion to Harris County was strong, Harold was still practicing dentistry on a daily basis. He continued to advance his studies and received a Certification of Conscious Sedation through the Texas Dental Board in 2002 and became an Invisalign Orthodontics provider in 2006.
